What made you want to be an author?

Well, even from a young age, I have always loved telling stories (and reading them), so it was a natural progression for me to be an author.   Also, to be honest, I felt I finally had something worthy to tell the world.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Richlands, North Carolina in a doublewide trailer at the end of a dead-end dirt road. 

When will all of the books be out? 

Currently, I have six books slated to release over the next 18 months.  The first, Profitable Growth Operating System: Take Command of Your Business Now! will drop on February 13, 2024.  Sign up on our website to stay in the loop. 

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I have been so blessed with a wonderful family and career.  At this point, I like to spending my time paying it forward; where I feel I can make a difference and the team wants my help.  

What type of companies does PGOS work well on? 

Well, I have not used it in every type of company out there.  But so far, it has produced superior results in all that I have worked on, this includes industrial manufacturing and distribution; consumer products; commodity products; products sold through two- distribution retail channels, online and in-person; products sold globally; and so on.  I guess the point is I think it will work everywhere.  I'll keep believing this until proven otherwise.  

Do you have any tips for aspiring writers? 

It's a highly personal experience.  Find a topic you have passion about and get after it.  It can be a bit of a slog, but it's worth it.  

Do you have any tips for aspiring CEO? 

Be a continuous learner and get stuff done. 

What do you find most important in a Leader?

Set the mission.  Let your team find the way.  The team will need two things to be successful: A deep understanding of the company's culture and how to use the tools to drive change.  Spend the majority of time on your culture.  It's important and will show the team whe to use the tools.  You will need to win to be successful, but you don't want to wany at any cost.  Make sure everyone understands the guardrails. 

You have worked in many different types of companies, what is your favorite? 

For me, there are three types of companies: Public, private, and sponsor (private equity) owned.  I prefer private equity because of the clarity of the mission:  Get the highest MOIC (multiple on invested cash) in the shortest amount of time.

I have received spam from your website.  What should I do?

We never send out spam or unsolicited commercial email. If you have received a newsletter and no longer wish to receive it, please use the link at the bottom of the email to unsubscribe.

If you have received anything beyond a newsletter or a response from the message board, the most likely cause is that people are "spoofing" our information for their spam. Basically, they're sending email from their own servers, but making it look like it comes from here.

If you are experiencing this problem, get the header information from the message (e.g., in Outlook, with the message open, go to View -> Options - the information is listed in a pane at the bottom of the window) - copy and paste the information into a forward of the email and send it to spam@uce.gov (US government watchdog).
